C4 Toolbox Agent
The C4 Toolbox Agent is the background driver that all other C4 Toolbox drivers depend on to function properly. It must be installed on the Control4 controller before any other C4 Toolbox driver.
The agent handles licence validation against your dealer account, automatic driver updates with staged rollouts, version reporting back to the C4 Toolbox platform, and linking the controller to your dealer account for activation and trials.
It also extends each driver with shared functionality such as built-in announcements, so individual drivers stay lightweight while the agent provides common services centrally.
